Right now you are reading the first ever Must Have Monday! This is a new series that I am going to be sharing with you bringing you all the things that will make your life easier and better. Why Monday you ask? No one really likes Monday. Well, that’s exactly right!

Yes, I know that is definitely, most likely, probably, NOT what you will be thinking on your Monday morning. If you are anything like me it will be more like, “Monday already!”
I know Mondays come all too quick after that short two day weekend. But we need to find a way to make our Mondays more interesting. Because let’s face it they are not going away anytime soon! They come around every seven days. Boo.
So, let’s find some inspiration in our Mondays something that will help give us some cheer and ideas on how to live a better life and have a better week. And ultimately how to have a better Monday. And in turn make every Monday a Must Have.
So, for this week I would like to share with you two products that are life-changers for me. I know that if you already have these two products then you will agree with me.
However, if you do not have these two products than I need you to find a way to work them in your budget and get them immediately!
Must Have #1
The first must have is the Echo Dot. Now, I know what you are thinking, isn’t that the thing from Amazon that the Alexa lady talks from. Well, yes it is. And if you do not have an Echo Dot or some version of the Echo then you need to get one quickly.
This small device that sits on my bookshelf in my family room does a lot of fun things. Now I want to quickly say that I am not the most tech saavy person but I did install this little guy myself and it was fairly easy. I also want to say there are probably so many more features that I am not even into yet that make this thing so much more fun but we will work on that later.
The things that I think are the coolest that my Echo Dot/Alexa does for me is turn on and off lights, controls my thermostat, tells me when a door is open and closed, plays music, gives me the news, weather, jokes, fart sounds, and other useful information. It tells me when my Amazon packages have been delivered, I can set a timer, make a list, phone a friend, listen to my messages, and so, so, much more.
As I already stated, there are a few different versions of the Echo Dot. Some of them have a much higher price but also do some other cool things that my tiny inexpensive version does not. So they are definitely worth checking into especially if you like the techy stuff.
Must Have #2
The second item is not as exciting as my first recommendation however, it is still pretty awesome in my world. The Honeywell Home Wi-Fi 7-Day Programmable Thermostat, is a must have in any household especially ones that have Alexa connections, like with your previously mentioned, Echo Dot.
Now, I know there are far better thermostats on the market and probably ones that are much more advanced in the technology department. However, this one is super budget friendly and if you are like me that stands to be the most important factor (sometimes).
This little guy can connect to your wi-fi which means it can connect to your Alexa controlled device (Echo, etc.). I can ask Alexa what the thermostat is set to or tell her to turn the temperature up or down.
Also, my Honeywell thermostat is connected on my phone with an app that allows me to change the temperature from anywhere! For instance, if I am in bed and it is hot I can turn the temperature down, or up depending on the need. I do not even have to leave the comfort of my cozy bed! That is priceless for me!
The thermostat also has the ability to set a schedule, which comes in handy for when you are at work or when you are trying to be energy efficient at night or during the day.
Like I said, I know there are other fancier thermostats but really why do you need all that. Plus, this one is perfect for any budget and there is really no need to break your budget on a thermostat!
